{"id":2057,"date":"2015-06-18T23:02:04","date_gmt":"2015-06-18T23:02:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recycletorrance.org\/?p=2057"},"modified":"2015-06-18T23:50:03","modified_gmt":"2015-06-18T23:50:03","slug":"water-regulations-conservation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/recycletorrance.org\/water-regulations-conservation\/","title":{"rendered":"Water Regulations &#038; Conservation!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: blue;\">Remember the 2-6-8-10 Plan!<\/h3>\n<p>On May 5, 2015, City Council approved activation of Level 2 water requirements due to the severity of the drought and to meet the new state regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The Conservation Ordinance applies to the entire City regardless of retail water supplier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Level 2 -Water Use Requirements and Regulations:<\/strong><br \/>\n<ul class=\"list plus\">\n<li>Calls for up to 30 percent water use reduction<\/li>\n<li>No outside watering  fro 8 a.m. to  6 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor watering limited to two days a week for 10 minutes per area or irrigation station<\/li>\n<li>Fix all leaks within four days<\/li>\n<li>No watering 48 hours after rain event<\/li>\n<li>Certain restrictions on filling and refilling of pools, spas and ponds<\/li>\n<li>Provides for administrative rules to implement the ordinance<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n<p><strong>Permanent Requirements In Effect at all Times:<\/strong><br \/>\n<ul class=\"list plus\">\n<li>No excessive runoff from outdoor watering<\/li>\n<li>No washing of exterior surfaces<\/li>\n<li>No washing of vehicles with &#8220;open hose&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>All water features must have a re-circulating system<\/li>\n<\/ul>For more information on restrictions and regulations, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.torranceca.gov\/18758.htm\" target=\"_blank\">this Torrance Public Works webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"frame gray\"><p><span style=\"color: blue;\"><strong>Remember the 2-6-8-10 Plan!<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<strong>2<\/strong> Days a week<br \/>\n<strong>6 <\/strong>PM &#8211; <strong>8 <\/strong>AM Watering Times<br \/>\n<strong>10<\/strong> Minutes\/area (watering station)<\/p><\/div>Water is a limited and valuable resource.
